The track gives the impression of a beautiful wild landscape, complete with sounds of the rainforest layered with Emily’s beautiful vocals. It comes as no surprise that Let’s Talk About The Weather, her first full length release, is centred around the current climate crisis and how we connect, as humans, with ourselves and with nature.
Emily says: ‘I wanted to make an album which sounds on the surface like alt-pop music, and is full of collected sounds from our times and the world around us. I feel like there’s a lot of hope and a yearning to connect to something deeper, and reassess what’s important, but also dark undertones of where we could be headed if we don’t wake up and change.’
Emily has already been championed by the likes of DIY, Clash and The Line Of Best Fit with her previous EPs The Witching Hour and Be Your Own Light. She’s also graced the stage at Boomtown and Green Man Festival and has toured with Let’s Eat Grandma as well as This Is The Kit.
