Only together in their current line up since May 2015, Kris Leonard (guitar/vocals), River Reeves (guitar), Tomas Lowe (bass) and Jack Dakin (drums) draw on the best guitar music of the last five years for their infectious summery sound - so think the Arctic Monkeys and Foals put through a kaleidoscopic North West-based blender.
Swings & Waterslides has been their best moment to date, a tune which, given the right platform, has the potential to keep indie discos moving for many, many years to come. BBC Introducing has taken the group under its wing while they’re in the studio working on new material as we speak… watch out for big things from these guitar toting scamps in 2016…
We first started writing music because…
We aren't good at anything else and needed something to do
We have been making music since…
May of this year.
Our music is…
Fun, happy, easy to listen to and dance worthy if I do say so myself.
You'll like our music if you listen to...
Any music that makes you feel happy and want to dance. Specifically maybe like Peace, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Arctic Monkeys? That kinda thing.
Our favourite venue is…
So far, Koko in Camden.
Music is important because…
Otherwise we couldn't dance!
Our biggest inspiration is…
The weather and my girlfriend.
Our dream collaboration would be…
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
To try us out, listen to our song…
Swings & Waterslides.
If we weren’t making music we’d be…
Bored. And probably starving.
In 10 years’ time we want to be...
Still doing this, maybe just with some cured meats and cashew nuts on the rider.
