Grime producer Rude Kid is the go-to guy for many of the scene’s biggest players.
The likes of Wiley, Skepta, Kano, JME and Ghetts have all called on him for beats and bass showing just how revered his studio skills. It’s his unique sound, taking in elements of UK funky, dubstep and even techno, which has helped him stand out from the crowd.
Rude Kid’s One Take is perhaps his biggest moment to date, with over 5 million YouTube views of the likes of Ghetts, Stormzy, Chip, Yungen, Cadet and Young Teflon all spraying over the beat.
A recent remix of Man Like Me’s London Town has been selected to feature on the next edition of DJ Hero. Rude Kid has also remixed tracks for Skepta, Jay Sean and for Big Dada. Rude Kid’s music has also been synched to MTV, T mobile and Trident adverts as well as a forthcoming feature film entitled Freight. His new Noah’s Ark EP, featuring killers in the shape of Oh My Bass and Wiley Cat, is set to raise the bar even further for the rest of 2016… get to know him below…
I first started writing music because…
Its something I’ve always wanted to do but didn’t know how until I got introduced to FL studio.
I have been making music since…
Since i was 16/17.
My music is…
Unique and from a different planet.
You'll like my music if you listen to...
Grime and bass music.
My favourite venue is…
Fabric.
Music is important because…
It makes the world go round.
My biggest inspiration is…
I have loads but my family.
My dream collaboration would be…
Drake.
To try me out, listen to my song…
Voices.
If I wasn’t making music I’d be…
Be doing nothing at all.
In 10 years’ time I want to be...
A legend in the scene.
