If anthemic synth pop is what you’re looking for, then Glaswegian three-piece Prides could be a new act to get your ears excited.

The three piece - made up of Stewart Brock (piano, lead vocals), Callum Wiseman (guitar, piano, vocals) and Lewis Gardner (drums) - blend the stadium sounds of classic Simple Minds with the more contemporary electronic strains of CHVRCHES and Bastille.

It’s a fizzing musical cocktail which all adds up to the classic pop music of forthcoming single The Seeds You Sow. As much as you might try, it's almost impossible to deny its charms. Alongside last year’s debut Out of The Blue (which secured the band a deal with Island), it showcases an infectious passionate sound which is potentially bold enough to take on the charts and win.

Prides are on tour across February and March with a trip to SXSW and accompanying US live dates expected to seal the deal for this talented Scottish trio…

We first started writing music because…
We wanted to become songwriter’s. We accidentally became a band instead.

We have been making music since…
2004 (Stewart and Lewis).

Our music is…
Brazen and honest.
You'll like our music if you listen to…
80’s inspired electronic synth pop.

Our favourite venue is…
Ironworks, Inverness.

Music is important because…
“Without music, life would be a mistake” - Friedrich Nietzsche.

Our biggest inspiration is…
Trying to out-do ourselves. I think it’s important to always strive to be bigger and better.

Our dream collaboration would be…
Katy Perry.

To try us out, listen to my song…
The Seeds You Sow.

If we weren’t making music we’d be…
A producer, a physicist, and a lay-a-bout.

In 10 years time we want to be…
A producer, a physicist, and a lay-a-bout.

The Seeds You Sow EP is out March 31.
