Electronic duo Pertini are Sandro Schiena and Kevin Barthelemy, a pair of dream pop lovers influenced as much by the films of Wes Anderson as a passion for cloudy, musical atmospherics.

Taking their name from an anti-corruption Italian politician well known for opposing organised crime and fighting for social justice, the duo got together after Sandro's previous musical partner left him to become a priest.

This decision to follow the cloth galvanised Sandro into throwing himself even deeper into his new music and it sounds as if being jilted in favour of the alter has paid off. Debut single Blackfriars Bridge is a swirling synth heavy mix of melancholy and hazy pop textures, reminiscent of fellow cosmonauts Unknown Mortal Orchestra or Tame Impala.

Produced by Marc Pell from Micachu and the Shapes and now resplendent with a video by SXSW Film Award winner Marko Anstice, it's a lovely introduction to an intriguing new talent…

We first started writing music because…
We weren’t skilled enough to play covers.

We have been making music…
Since 2014.

Our music is…
Not tax-deductible.

You'll like our music if you listen to…
Your parents.

Our favourite venue is…
The Buffalo Bar in London.

Music is important because…
It’s good for your soul.

Our biggest inspiration is…
Ennio Morricone.

Our dream collaboration would be…
The Beta Band.

To try us out, listen to my song…
Blackfriars Bridge.

If we weren’t making music we’d be…
Fishmongers.

In 10 years’ time we want to be…
10 years younger.
