New London trio Peluché are doing their best to bring on a new Age of Aquarius with their interstellar mash-up of psych, soul, dub and post-punk.

Amy, Sophie and Rhapsody’s elastic fantastic sound, which was first cooked up in the now defunct Camden studio Utopia Village, riffs on the infectious bounce of ESG, Maximum Joy and Tom Tom Club.

Now with three singles under their belts – including the Dan Carey-produced track The Guy With the Gammy Eye – they’re preparing to unleash their debut blissed-out EP, Utopia Village.

Featuring the ace lead track Swim, plus woozy follow-up Family, its already picked up love from Dazed and Confused, i-D Magazine, The Guardian and Dummy ahead of its release on RIP Records this Friday (25 November).

We spend 30 seconds with this threesome on the up…

We first started making music because…
We weren't any good at sports.

We have been making music since…
We met each other!

Our music is…
Easy on your ears.

You'll like our music if you listen to
Well, it depends what you're into really.

Our favourite venue is…
Anywhere with a smoke machine, especially Grelle Forelle in Vienna and The Windmill in Brixton.

Music is important because…
It is for anyone and everyone.

Our biggest inspiration is…
Having the free time to play and experiment.

Our dream collaboration would be…
With David Bowie's ghost.

To try us out, listen to our song…
Swim.

If we weren’t making music we’d be…
Always thinking ‘what if?!’

In 10 years’ time we want to be…
In complete musical freedom by the sea.
