London trio King Korea create monstrous garage rock with ominous guitars, fuzzed-out bass and psychotic vocals.

This autumn, they unleashed Zoo Generation – a taut, three-minute rampage around the outliers of punk-fuelled psychedelia.

Their sound channels the rock ‘n’ roll chaos and surfy mayhem of The Ramones and The Cramps, as Roger Piazza, Jim Hosking and Bruno G Roth wield their instruments with riotous abandon.

Having formed in 2014, the trio are starting to build up a head of steam with breakneck live gigs and a reputation for hell-raising.

We caught up with them to learn more about their sound, their love of Elvis Presley and why blood splattered walls get their creative juices flowing...

We first started writing music because…
There was an unexplainable tension that needed to be dealt with.

We have been making music since…
Our early teens but together since 2014.

Our music is…
A mix of noise, energy and sweat.

You'll like our music if you listen to…
Guitar based bands.

Our favourite venue is…
The Shacklewell Arms, east London.

Music is important because…
Without it many feelings would remain unexplored.

Our biggest inspiration is…
A dark room with a table, a light and blood marks on the wall.

Our dream collaboration would be…
With Elvis Presley.

To try us out, listen to our song…
Zoo Generation, our first single.

If we weren’t making music we’d be…
A cook, a writer and a teacher. Or probably a local karaoke celebrity.

In 10 years’ time we want to be…
Paying the consequences of a good 10 years.
