Tottenham five-piece HAUS excel at super-slick pop and synthy goodness, borrowing from EDM, R&B, indie and rock for their stereoscopic sound.
They first joined forces a few years back while studying at the Institute for Contemporary Music, cutting their teeth in college play-offs and live shows before coming of age.
Fast forward to 2017, and the quintet have two killer singles behind them, including latest Gave You All.
They’ve also been prolific on the live circuit, airing their souped-up sounds at headline shows at Club NME, KOKO, and festivals including The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party, Dot-to-Dot, Truck, Live At Leeds and Reading/Leeds.
Already on the BBC Introducing radar, they’re celebrating their maiden headline UK tour this month with a sold-out show at London venue The Courtyard tonight (Wednesday).
With all this going on, we thought it high time we got acquainted with this band on the up…
We first started making music because…
We like making music, it all sorta just happened.
We have been making music since…
The boys all left college and I had just finished sixth form back in 2013. Nothing too serious, just five mates in a sweaty rehearsal space in Tottenham.
Our music is…
Good music.
You'll like our music if you listen to…
Anything.
Our favourite venue is…
My personal favourite venue we have played so far has to be Concorde 2 in Brighton.
Music is important because…
It allows people to have a platform, to have to something to say, to inspire and to feel something.
Our biggest inspiration is…
Life in general.
Our dream collaboration would be…
My personal dream collab would be Michael Jackson, I know he's now past but he was a huge inspiration to me.
To try us out, listen to our new song…
Gave You All.
If we weren’t making music we’d be…
Probs in Liverpool Street, working a nine-to-five and wishing we were doing music.
In 10 years’ time we want to be…
Still writing, inspiring and playing live shows.
