Du Tonc is the partnership of Mighty Mouse and Van She's Matt Van Schie, two producers who met in a smoky Paris nightclub.

While they bonded in the night, the fruits of their production collaborations are made for the sunshine of Ibiza terraces, all Balearic bliss and holiday beats.

On a string of releases for Eskimo Recordings, they’ve shown an admiral eclectic streak, taking their music zig zagging between ambient pop, deeper, house territories and sampling the sounds of animals.

They bill their material as the music to show aliens when they land on the planet, but Du Tonc’s string of high profile releases have awarded them more earthly success. They've been named as Hype machine’s 'Ones To Watch’ while this summer they featured on the Entourage movie soundtrack and clocked up a number one on Hype Machine with their rework of Aaliyah’s Rock The Boat. Get to know a pair who are set for ruling 2016 with an electronic disco fist…

We first started writing music together because…
We got on really well after we met in Paris.

We have been making music since…
Around the middle of 2012, about three years ago.

Our music is…
From the heart. It’s what we love, it’s why we do this. We make music that we believe in, not because we want to be famous.

You'll like our music if you listen to…
Tears For Fears, Neon Indian, Hot Chip, Chromatics, Fleetwood Mac, TOTO, Bob Welch, Kazino, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Kindness..

Our favourite venue is…
There are so many great places to play, but we’ll pick the Social Club in Paris because that’s where we met and that’s where our name came from (although we didn’t realise that until months later).

Music is important because…
It enhances the soul, improves your day and let’s you escape.

Our biggest inspiration is…
Our family, without them we wouldn’t be making music, we’ve had so much support … they deserve a mention.

Our dream collaboration would be…
Lyndsey Buckingham or Stevie Nicks, or both. Got to aim high! In fact there are so many people out there it would be amazing to collaborate with, unrealistic targets are more fun so let’s throw in Prince and David Bowie.

To try us out, listen to our song…
Darkness.

If we weren't making music we’d be…
Writing books and doing yoga … or more realistically unhappy working in an office wishing we were writing books and doing yoga.

In 10 years’ time we want to be…
Writing books and doing yoga.
