Electro-pop pairing Cash+David (neither of whom are named either Cash or David. Confusingly) have surfed through 2015 on a wave of ever-burgeoning hype, thanks to killer tracks Pulse and Bones.
Tim Ross (Cash) and Liz Lawrence (David) first appeared last year with their debut single Funn, submerging Liz’s vocals amid guitar crunch and more homespun electronics. The pair have gradually deepened their sound with broken rhythms, loops and soundtrack ambience, all acting as a backdrop to the heartbreak of Liz’s vocal.
Both have previous, with Tim providing film scores and Liz known for her solo folk work, plus backing vocals for the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club. The pair are now gearing up for a big 2016 with an appearance at next year’s SXSW already lined up… get to know them now in our 30 seconds below before everyone else does…
