Cadet is one of UK grime’s loudest new voices, making a splash online with live dates and his much anticipated, The Commitment EP.
This self-proclaimed ‘underrated legend’ burst onto the music scene during the second half of 2015 with a hard hitting freestyle reaching over half a million online views in just a few months.
Since then, Cadet’s musical career has seen him support Krept & Konan and Bugzy Malone as well as also headlining London’s Islington Academy in March this year.
With more support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1Xtra DJ’s including DJ Target, Charlie Sloth and Huw Stephens, Cadet and his music are continuing to go from strength to strength. Get to know more in our 30 seconds interview and catch him live at The Great Escape…
I first started writing music because…
It was a way of imitating those I looked up to and a way of being positively productive with my friends.
I have been making music since…
Approximately 2013.
My music is….
UK grime.
You'll like my music if you listen to...
Anyone from Michael Jackson to Meek Mill to Kendrick Lamar.
My favourite venue is…
Brixton Academy.
Music is important because…
It's my vent and the only place I feel free.
My biggest inspiration is…
My life experiences.
My dream collaboration would be…
Michael Jackson.
To try me out, listen to my song…
Slut/Stereotype/GipsetFlow.
If I wasn’t making music I’d be…
Lost.
In 10 years’ time I want to be...
A legend.
