Breton have had a reputation as an exciting, must see act ever since their first live outings at squat parties and from their South London base, BretonLABS.
The group embarked on their musical journey as it was more practical to set their film work to music, they quickly gathered a dedicated following, in part thanks to their intense performance and experimental approach to their music.
They holed up in the industrial district of Mitte in Berlin to make their second album War Room Stories. They feed samples, dub and electronics into their music, making for a significant step forward from their debut Other People’s Problems.
After touring Europe with Local Natives and Foals and playing festivals including Pitchfork in Paris and Ibiza Rocks, they’ve reimagined some of their recent album with the help of the Macedonian Radio Symphonic Orchestra. Meet them in our 30 seconds interview below…
