George Townsend and Adam Kaye are Bondax, the hotly tipped young electronic duo who have been lighting up dancefloors across the UK and beyond over the last 18 months.
The pair burst into dance music’s conscience back in 2011 with their warm, r and b influenced electronica. If it’s balearic, sun-kissed pop music you’re looking for, then these two are your go-to men. Well teenagers. Unbelievably, they're still both under 20.
But despite their youth, their career trajectory has been steep in the brief time they've been working together. Last year’s Baby I Got That was remixed by Dirtybird’s Justin Martin and received much radio recognition from the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Rob Da Bank.
While becoming mainstays at UK raves such as Bugged Out!, they've already been across the pond and delighted US ravers. Additional remixes for the likes of AlunaGeorge and Rudimental signal that this northern duo are part of the latest breed of electronic artists giving the concept of rave a fresh overhaul for 2013.
Gold, released on Justus/Relentless, is their latest release, a low-slung fusion of garage, house and hip hop. It's the perfect showcase of their songwriting skills and way to get to know a pair you'll be hearing a lot about over the next year. M catches up with the fast moving duo for 30 Seconds below...
