Tottenham native Double S has played a pivotal role in UK grime, helping set the benchmark for MCs to reach since he started out almost a decade ago.
Previously Double was one third of Marvell and co-founded Shoddy Crew, which included grime king saviour, Chip. Double has also collaborated with grime heavyweights such as Skepta, JME, Frisco, Tempa T, Chip and Cadet.
This talented MC has kept ahead of the second wave of grime artists, thanks in part to his latest tracks, Yana Darg and the Heavytrackerz produced, JME-featuring Styles and Flows. It shows that while Double has been on top of his game for ten years, he's still up there, in part due to his heavy lyrical punches as well as on point choice of collaborator. With this kind of strength on display, Double is rightly lauded for the past and the present - but there's obviously plenty more in the future for him yet…

My older brother was spitting bars with his friends in the school playground and it excited me. I then went home that exact same day and heard D Double E, Kano and Wiley on radio, that’s when I realized it’s 2004, I was just trying to find myself content and flow wise but professionally in 2007.
My music is…
My stress release, kind of like my safe haven. When I don’t feel understood or need to calm down I just write or go studio and vent.
