Taking his cues from Nicolas Jaar, James Blake and early Jamie XX, he sculpts soulful house, dusty electronics and cinematic production into blissed-out shapes.
It’s a skill that’s won over MixMag, Erol Alkan and Tiga, and opened the door to remixes for Gotye, La Roux and Digitalism.
His self-titled debut EP for Riton’s own Riton Time label landed just a couple of weeks ago, and it’s been on repeat here at M ever since.
Here, he lets us into the tracks he's been rinsing lately...
Forest Swords - Panic
I only stumbled across this the other day, it’s quite dark yet beautiful. I love the layers of vocals.
Romare - L.U.V
I love this whole album and it was too hard to choose one, so I just closed my eyes and pointed to this.
Four Tet - Two Thousand and Seventeen
Arguably a genius and without a doubt best album of 2017.
Nicolas Jaar - Encore (not on Spotify, but on YouTube)
This song is pretty much perfect in my opinion, the vocal sample, the percussion, the piano all just sits so well.
Metro Area - Miura
Hard to believe this track is 16 years old, still one of my favourite tracks to DJ out
James Blake – Retrograde (Fin Pilly Edit) (not on Spotify, but on YouTube)
How do you make an amazing song even better? Listen here.
Keith Jarret - Encore From Tokyo
I came across this a few years ago and I’ve listened to it every day since. No lie.
My Girl & Me - Always Back To You
Another one from Nicolas Jaar’s label, so spacious and beautiful.
Massive Attack - Teardrop
No words needed.
Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II
Still get the exact same feeling listening to this as I did when I first heard it.
