Cro Cro Land festival launches in Croydon on 6 April, aiming to bring guitar bands back to the birthplace of punk music, and celebrate the area’s rich musical history, with gender equality at the heart of everything it does (in line with PRS Foundation’s Key Change initiative).

Here’s an introduction to some of the tantalising line up...

Blood Red Shoes – Eye to Eye

Sisteray – Algorithm Prison
Sisteray are a four-piece rock band from London, who are proving themselves to be one of the most exciting live bands of the moment.

Nova Twins – Drums
Amy Love and Georgia South from South East London have been taking the underground scene by storm with their hard-rocking sound – named the ‘Nova Sound’ which has gnarly vocals with a hard bass driven centre.

Bugeye - Hey You
A supersonic power chord punk mash-up of Blondie vs. Pixies, Bugeye are an entrancing 4-piece disco punk band.

ARXX – Stuck On You

The Lovely Eggs – I Shouldn’t Have Said That

Bang Bang Romeo – Shame On You

Fragile Creatures - Mess We’re In
The mighty Fragile Creatures are one of those rare beasts: a commercially viable proper guitar band. Covering themes as diverse as life, death, drugs, sex, dementia, Armageddon and Alan Turing whilst delivering their music wrapped up in the warming textures and tones of harmless rock’n’roll, in all its multifarious glories

Chorusgirl – In Dreams
London based band Chorusgirl make noise-pop, blending dirt, jangle and noise into a swirling & shimmering mix.

Tiger Mimic – I Took Off My Body
