MP and David Cameron’s IP advisor Mike Weatherley has been an important voice over the last six months whenever the subject of music industry copyright has come up.

After being appointed to his new role last September, he’s thrown himself into the debate surrounding intellectual property (IP), becoming an increasingly important figure in the fight against copyright infringement.

His recent Search Engines and Piracy report called on Google to take more action to tackle online piracy while he also appeared at the recent Great Escape music conference in Brighton
