North London music production and education hub Tileyard Studios has launched a new Women in Music bursary programme.

The scheme will award £2,500 to a female student studying on the MA Music Industry Entrepreneurship course at the in-house education facility.

On the MA, you will learn and practice the mechanics and strategies of labels, publishers, managers, agents, promoters, event organisers and new media entrepreneurs through first-hand case studies taught by industry professionals.

The initiative is being headed up by Karen Emanuel, chief executive of music manufacturing company, Key Production.

The company was built from the ground up by Emanuel in 1990 out of the back of Jungle Records. Prior to Key Production, she cut her teeth at Rough Trade Distribution.

For a chance to win the bursary and kickstart your career in the music business, email jamie@tileyardeducation.co.uk for an application form.
