Want to monetize your music on Facebook? The social media giant has rolled out monetization to independent songwriters and publishers and has set a deadline of 12 March for users to opt in. Find out how here...

Following recent licensing agreements with rightholders including ICESony/ATV and Universal Music Group, Facebook is offering publishers and self-published musicians the opportunity to enter into a direct license agreement with Facebook for Facebook, Instagram and Oculus.

The deal – in partnership with HFA/Rumblefish – covers music in uploaded videos, stories and live videos across the three platforms.

To opt in, you will need an HFA online account, as well as a TuneRegistry account to add your songs. You can request an HFO account here and create a TuneRegistry account here.

For full instructions, visit the Tune Registry blog.
