PRS for Music announce community radio seminar

PRS for Music, the licensing organisation for songwriters, composers and music publishers, is hosting ‘The Big Radio Seminar’ to advise on, and address the issue of licensing music for community radio stations.   Held in association with the Community Media Association, the educational session welcomes all individuals, groups and communities along to discuss their music use.

The event will be held at the PRS for Music offices, Berners Street, London on Tuesday 29th March from 2pm – 5.00pm.

Leading industry speakers will include Daniel Browne from West One Music, Gavin Larkins, Radio Licensing Manager and Andy Harrower Head of Broadcasting from PRS for Music, and songwriter Martin Sutton.  Martin has worked with some of the world’s best songwriters selling over seven million records worldwide for artists including Celine Dion, The Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes and Olivia Newton John.

The seminar will include insider tips, practical advice and real-life music licensing solutions and attendees will benefit from:

  • Unique insight from leading industry experts
  • Tactical knowledge about music licensing
  • Face-to-face discussions with your industry peers with the opportunity to share ideas
  • Getting opinions heard

We recognise that many groups would benefit from help, information and assistance in accessing music and understanding the issues surrounding music licensing. The aim of this session is to champion ease of access for people and their communities who want to use music and provide them the necessary support to make that happen.
