About the Role

The Developer will be responsible for supporting the estimations, design, development and testing of technical solutions through software development or configuration.
You will achieve this by:

  • Supporting the technical designers in producing estimates and the technical design
    for a solution.
  • Consulting with colleagues and/or client to establish the solution approach.
  • Evaluating and implementing approach to incorporate existing or new technologies.
  • Observing, diagnosing, testing, and fixing faults in the software.
  • Writing and testing software code.
  • Evaluating and analysing incidents, problems, requests and systems changes
    assigned to their team.
  • Collaborating with other IT specialists both internally and externally.
  • Supervising and coaching developers when required.
  • Producing written requirements and technical specification documentation for sign
  • Controlling, building and performing code release implementations to development,
    test and live environments.
  • Controlling the development of software environment refreshes.

The salary for this role is circa £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About You

The successful candidate will have demonstrable software development experience, with knowledge of database architecture and design. You will have experience producing accurate estimates for coding and testing effort required to produce a particular technical

The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge and experience in several of the
following areas:

Prior experience Oracle RDMS database architecture on the Cloud

The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge and experience in several of the
following areas:
  • Oracle 19c – Cloud databases
  • OCI Cloud Infrastructure & PaaS
  • Oracle 19c – Cloud Databases
  • Experience writing complex & optimal SQL Queries
  • PL/SQL including development of packages and procedures with robust error handling

In addition, the following experience would be an asset

  • Performance Tuning & Data Warehousing
  • Oracle Forms & Report 12c
  • UC4 (Automic) Job Scheduling & Batch Processing Tools (desirable).
  • Java (desirable)
