MCPS MEMBERSHIP DATA MIGRATION PROJECT UPDATE

In our July newsletter we informed you that a project was underway to transfer MCPS membership data records to the PRS system.

This move will bring service benefits and has provided the opportunity to review and clean the membership data currently held for MCPS members.

The project is now in the testing phase with implementation scheduled for January 2013. There are no planned changes to the distributions MCPS or PRS members receive as a result. You should expect to see monies flow through the MCPS A and B distributions and PRS distribution as usual.

In order to protect the integrity of your data during the implementation period we will apply a freeze to all MCPS and PRS membership data between the close of business on Monday 24 December 2012 through to Monday 14 January 2013.

As a result, any changes to the online member admissions, online updates and electronic statement instruction processes - whilst accessible to members via the website - will be held until 10 January and processed after implementation on Monday 14 January. Please note: Payments and statements will be delivered using any new instructions for the January MCPS distributions and the PRS April distribution.

The project provides a strong foundation for future joint distributions. It will allow MCPS members to benefit from their data being held on a more flexible, up to date system as well as providing the opportunity to align MCPS and PRS service offerings.
