ProDub (Professional Dubbing Licence)
What does the scheme allow you to do?
The licence provides permission from the copyright holders of both the musical works (via MCPS) and sound recordings (via PPL) to individuals who wish to dub (copy) music that they privately own onto formats for the specific purpose of using these copies in their professional working capacity.

How do you apply to the scheme?
Simply log on to the ProDub web facility, register and buy your licence immediately
Once admitted onto the scheme, do you have to apply for individual product clearances?

How does the reporting and payment process work?
There is no music reporting required and payments can be made instantly by debit or credit card, or alternatively by cheque.
Can you give copies away for promotional purposes?
No
What does the scheme exclude?
The use of unauthorised arrangements, adaptations, parodies, burlesques and dramatico-musical works; derogatory uses
What are the main restrictions of the scheme?
The copying of music for retail or promotional purposes.
The ProDub licence does not include the right to upload songs onto any website, ftp server or shared network.
