Much-loved restaurant-in-a-yurt, Shuck’s, has been named winner of PRS for Music’s national Music Makeover competition, taking home a £5,000 prize to revamp the restaurant for live performances as it continues to support the local scene.
Run by Phil and Beth Milner, the Norfolk eatery beat more than 280 other entrants to take home the top prize, including expert advice from globally renowned producer Steve Levine, in the first year of the Restaurant competition.

As part of the celebrations, PRS for Music hosted a launch party, where neo-soul singer Mullally and electronic jazz trio Mammal Hands, who are from Norfolk, performed live inside the yurt.

PRS for Music launched the annual Music Makeover competition six years ago to showcase and raise awareness of how important music is to local businesses, expanding it to include restaurants for the first time last year. From the quality of the sound system, to acoustics, volume and playlists, music has a huge impact on both customers and staff..
