PRS for Music launched the annual Music Makeover competition six years ago to showcase and raise awareness of how important music is to local businesses, expanding it to include restaurants for the first time last year. From the quality of the sound system, to acoustics, volume and playlists, music has a huge impact on both customers and staff..

Paul Clements, Commercial Director, PRS for Music said: “Shuck's really impressed me due to its unique setting, goals and its dedication and support of local community and produce. Phil's vision of how music could really impact and grow the restaurant was impressive.”

Winner, Philip Milner of Shuck's said: “We’re absolutely delighted and thrilled that we have won, and we still can't believe it. Improving our music offering was something we had always planned on doing but we couldn't afford it, and it's going to make a massive difference to our business, inside and out. Winning the PRS for Music prize means we will now be able to showcase local talent and give our customers the ultimate dining experience.”
