Shuck's was awarded the top prize due to its musical vision, dedication to supporting local community and the managers' enthusiasm.
Phil Milner - Shuck's, Norfolk
Winner Phil Milner of Shuck's said:
We’re absolutely delighted and thrilled that we have won, and we still can't believe it. Improving our music offering was something we had always planned on doing but we couldn't afford it, and it's going to make a massive difference to our business, inside and out. Winning the PRS for Music prize means we will now be able to showcase local talent and give our customers the ultimate dining experience. We can't wait to have Steve Levine's expert input as well."
CAROUSEL in London (Marylebone) was awarded the runners up prize of £2,500.
Paul Clements, Commercial Director, PRS for Music said:
Shuck's really impressed me due to its unique setting, goals and its dedication and support of local community and produce. Phil's vision of how music could really impact and grow the restaurant was impressive and we are very much looking forward to working with him and his team to make this happen."
Work has already begun to assist with the implementation of the winners' prizes and prepare for the exclusive launch event in Norfolk. PRS for Music would like to thank all this year’s entrants; it’s been a fantastic first year.
