What rights are covered in the licence?
This is a joint MCPS and PRS licence, allowing you to reproduce and store music in the form of ringbacks and to stream them to the public. The ringback licence does not cover any permanent download that may be kept by the caller.
How do you apply for the scheme?
To apply for a Ringback Licence you must complete a hard copy of the application form and return it to us at: Online Licensing, 5th Floor BMH, 29-33 Berners Street, London, W1T 3AB.
How much do you pay?
Royalty rates are calculated as a percentage of Gross Revenue generated by the service and are set as follows:
- Non-returnable advance of £1,000, excluding VAT
- 15% of gross revenue from the service, including any subscription or recurring charge for accessing the service.
- Minima of £0.15 per Ringback tone
