    Terms and conditions

    • The entrant may enter the Sound Makeover Competition (the “Competition”) by submitting a completed entry form obtained from www.prsformusic.com/soundmakeover
    • The entrant may enter the Sound Makeover Competition (the “Competition”) only if they have a licence from PRS. Premises which pay for their licence in instalments can enter if they are up to date on payments. Any Premises with a debt case can enter the Competition if the debt is cleared by the date the Competition closes.
    • By entering the Competition, the entrant will be deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.
    • The Competition is being run by PRS for Music Limited, trading as PRS for Music, 29-33 Berners Street, London, W1T 3AB (the “Promoter”).
    • There is no fee to enter the Competition.
    • Entrants must be 18 years of age or over and a UK resident.
    • The Competition is not open to employees of the Promoter, their families, suppliers of the Prize and any other companies associated with the Competition.  
    • Only one entry application per Premises will be accepted.
    • The entrant must be the official owner/manager of the Premises and by entering verifies that they have the authority to authorise the Promoter to use the name and image(s) of the Premises in connection with the Competition. 
    • By entering the Competition, the owner/manager is agreeing to let the Promoter post their name and image alongside the name and image of the Premises on the Promoter’s website for general public viewing purposes.
    • Entries can be made by downloading an application form from prsformusic.com/soundmakeover and then delivering it back to PRS for Music via email to sound.makeover@prsformusic.com or by post to Sound Makeover, PRS for Music, 29-33 Berners Street, London, W1T 3AB. 
    • All entries must be received no later than midnight on 31st October 2014 (the “Closing Date”). 
    • Any alterations or withdrawals from the Competition must reach the Promoter via email to sound.makeover@prsformusic.com or by post to The Marketing Department, PRS for Music, 29-33 Berners Street, London, W1T 3AB no later than the Closing Date.
    • One winner (the “Winner”) will be selected by a panel of judges after the Closing Date.
    • The winner will be chosen on consideration of the following criteria: vision shown from the entrant of what they want to achieve with music, impact that the prize money would have, how the prize money would positively affect customers, the entrant's interest in music, and quality of the written entry. 
    • The Winner will be announced on the Promoter’s website and the Winner’s name will be available on request from the Promoter. The winner will be contacted by 31st December 2014, by email or telephone.
    • The Winner agrees to participate in any reasonable publicity for the Competition as well as any other promotional events. 
    • The Winner agrees to co-operate with the Promoter in relation to the promotion of music at the Premises for a duration of twelve months (from the date of announcement of the Winner) and to allow the use of their name and image along with the name and image(s) of the Premises on the Promoter’s website and customer literature. The Winner consents to the Promoter taking and using images of the Winner and their Premises in the absence of any suitable images supplied by the Winner.
    • The Prize for the Winner will be sound and music equipment up to an aggregate value of £5,000 (five thousand pounds), as well as a sound expert consultation and launch party.
    • Two Runners-Up will receive a prize each. Each Runners-Up Prize will be sound and music equipment up to an aggregate value of £1,000 (one thousand pounds)
    • The Winner and the Promoter agree to the organisation of a press launch at the Premises following completion of the improvements in relation to the Prize. 
    • The Prize and Runners-Up Prizes, are as described, are not transferable to any other individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.  
    • Personal information collected through the application process will not be passed on to any third parties.
    • The Promoter reserves the right not to offer the Prize or Runners-Up Prizes to any entrants if no suitable applications are received. 
    • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for: (a) lost, late or undelivered entries, notifications or communications; and/or (b) any event which may cause the Competition to be disrupted. 
    • Proof of submission shall not be proof of receipt. 
    • By entering the Competition, entrants agree to accept and be bound by these Competition Terms and Conditions and any decisions of its judges which are final and binding in all matters.
    • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All stated information, eligibility and submission guidelines, Terms and Conditions of entry, and entry information may be subject to change or modification by the Promoter without notice. 
    • Entrants release and hold harmless the Promoter from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Competition to the extent permitted by law. 
    • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and in accordance with the laws of England and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
