Music Makeover Terms and Conditions 

  • The entrant may enter the Music Makeover Competition (the “Competition”) by submitting a completed entry form obtained from www.prsformusic.com.
  • By entering the Competition, the entrant will be deemed to accept these terms and conditions.
  • The Competition is being run by PRS for Music Limited, trading as PRS for Music, 2 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG (the “Promoter”).
  • There is no fee to enter the Competition.
  • Entrants must be 18 years of age or over and a UK resident.
  • Upon entry via the field agents, entrants will receive a free ‘live music starter pack’ consisting of a cloth bag, PRS for Music Centenary lyrics book, 2015 gig planner diary.
  • Entrants will receive the live music starter pack only if they tick ‘field agent’ on their entry form, where it asks ‘How did you hear about Music Makeover?’.
  • The Competition is not open to employees of the Promoter, their families, suppliers of the Prize and any other companies associated with the Competition. 
  • Only one entry application per public house (the “Premises”) will be accepted.
  • The entrant must be the official licensee (the “Publican”) of the Premises and by entering verifies that they have the authority to authorise the Promoter to use the name and image(s) of the Premises in connection with the Competition. 
  • By entering the Competition, the Publican is agreeing to let the Promoter post their name and image alongside the name and image of the Premises on the Promoter’s website for general public viewing purposes.
  • Entries can be made by submitting the completed entry form via email to music.makeover@prsformusic.com or by post to Music Makeover, PRS for Music, 2 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG.
  • All entries must be received no later than midnight on Monday 16th March 2015 (the “Closing Date”).
  • Any alterations or withdrawals from the Competition must reach the Promoter via email to music.makeover@prsformusic.com or by post to Music Makeover PRS for Music, 2 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG no later than the Closing Date.
  • Two winners (The “Winners”) will be selected by a panel of judges after the Closing Date The winners will be chosen on consideration of the following criteria, vision shown from the entrant of what they want to achieve with live music, impact that the prize money would have, how well the prize money would positively affect customers and the community, the entrants’ interest in music.
  • The Winners will be announced on the Promoter’s website and the Winner’s names will be available on request from the Promoter. The winners will be contacted by 31st March 2015, by email or telephone.
  • The Winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity for the Competition as well as any other promotional events.
  • The Winners agree to co-operate with the Promoter in relation to the promotion of live music at the Premises (and generally) for a duration of four months (from the date of the announcement of the Winners) and to allow the use of their name and image along with the name and image(s) of the Premises on the Promoter’s website and customer literature. The Winners consent to the Promoter taking and using images of the Winners and their Premises in the absence of any suitable images supplied by the Winners.
  • Two winners will be chosen. One will win across category 1 and the other will win across category 2.
  • There will be two prizes comprising in each case sound and music equipment up to an aggregate value of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds),  live music guidance from a live music expert and a launch party (together the “Prize”).
    • Each of the two Winners will be required to approve their equipment purchases with PRS for Music to qualify for reimbursement up to an aggregate value of £10,000.00 (ten thousand pounds) each, in respect of improvements made to the Premises (which shall be mutually agreed with PRS for Music and the Winners) relating to the provision of sound equipment over a period of three months .
  • Each of the two Winners will supply receipts to PRS for Music for all items purchased relating to the Prize.
  • Up to eight Runners-Up will receive a prize each. Each Runner-Up Prize will be sound and music equipment vouchers up to an aggregate value of £100 (one hundred pounds) each.
  • The Prize and Runner-Up Prizes are as described, are not transferable to any other individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. 
  • Personal information collected through the application process will not be passed on to any third parties.
  • The Promoter reserves the right not to offer the Prize or Runner-Up Prizes to any entrants if no suitable applications are received.
  • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for: (a) lost, late or undelivered entries, notifications or communications; and/or (b) any event which may cause the Competition to be disrupted.
  • Proof of submission shall not be proof of receipt. 
  • By entering the Competition, entrants agree to accept and be bound by these Competition Terms and Conditions and any decisions of the judges which are final and binding in all matters.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All stated information, eligibility and submission guidelines, terms and conditions of entry, and entry information may be subject to change or modification by the Promoter without notice. 
  • Entrants release and hold harmless the Promoter from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Competition to the extent permitted by law.
  • The Promoter reserves the right not to award the Prize or Runner-Up Prizes to previous winners of this competition.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and in accordance with the laws of England and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
