Every month, we will be creating a podcast of new members that we think you will be hearing more about.

This month we're featuring 4 acts - The Dials, Audiocalm, My Pet Junkie and Mr Fogg.

The Dials

Recent winners of the PRS Foundation/Fopp New Music Award, this five-piece, originally from Brighton, describe themselves as “Acid country folk-garage pioneers”, but freely admit that there are a few more influences in the mix too.

Their album, “The Dials”, is out now, and generating interest in them from radio on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Been Inside Your Mind” was written by Martin Johnson Smyth, Andrew Pidgeon, Andrew Taylor, Dermot Watson and Andrew Davies.

Audiocalm

Principal songwriter Andy Huntley served his musical apprenticeship with five years of travelling the world playing his songs.  He formed Audiocalm when he got back to the UK 

They’ve recently sold out the Astoria, the Marquee and the Borderline, and their tracks have been picked up for use in several UK TV shows.  They’re currently working on a soundtrack deal in the States.

The track “Fall” was written by Andy Huntley.

My Pet Junkie

My Pet Junkie is Stuart O’Connor, Leon Camfield and Julia Bell.

They are a band whose diverse influences, from Mars Volta to King Crimson to Nick Drake, have combined to create something truly unique. 

My Pet Junkie have released two-self funded CDs so far, and have toured the UK extensively. You can see them live in May - for details see www.myspace.com/mypetjunkie 

The song “Away” was written by Stuart, Leon and Julia.

Mr Fogg

The sound of Mr Fogg is spine-tingling lo-fi electro-pop. 

Mr Fogg is Philip Barry, who joined PRS in October 2006.   

His self-composed track for the MCPS-PRS Podcast is called “Moving Pictures”
