Pink Floyd keyboardist dies ages 65
Rick Wright, keyboard player for legendary psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd, has died aged 65.
Wright was a founder member of the band, forming Pink Floyd in 1965 with Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Syd Barett. He will probably be best remembered for writing The Great Gig in the Sky from the band’s most successful release and sixth best-selling record in the world, Dark Side of the Moon.
Wright also collaborated on solo works with co-member Syd Barrett who passed away in 2006.
