MCPS-PRS partners with STIM to create new rights administration centre

The MCPS-PRS Alliance and Sweden’s STIM are working together to create a jointly-owned commercial service centre which will carry out many of the back office processing functions currently replicated by the two organisations.

Initially, the collaboration between the Alliance and STIM involves the two organisations working together to build a new copyright system and to create a new joint venture to manage copyright operations - improving processing capability and the quality of data held. The new database will be based on STIM’s existing and well regarded copyright system.

Later, the project will assess how the service centre can deliver further efficiencies and opportunities for members.
