ZZ Top guitarist, Billy Gibbons almost regretted his decision to take the Tube to his band gig last week at Wembley…
The Texan rocker opted for public transport, only to find himself in a situation all too familiar with regular users of London Underground.
Speaking to the BBC Gibbons said: ‘To the disbelief of many I decided to take the Tube, but no sooner had I bought the ticket the agent informed me that the Circle Line had broken down.’
Gibbons then had to take the Tube replacement bus to Baker Street, where he joined the legions of ZZ Top fans making their way to the gig. It wasn’t all travel gloom though, Gibbons went on to say that he might use London’s public transport again as he beat the rest of the band to Wembley by 45 minutes.
