Winehouse leads UK chart breakthrough

Amy Winehouse’s first album to release in the US, Back to Black has entered at number seven on the US Billboard 200.

This follows Winehouse’s spell-bounding showcase performance at the South by South West festival in Austin last week.

Winehouse is joined on the chart by James Morrision at number 24 and Fratellis at number 48.

All three artists released their albums in the US last Tuesday.
