Creative Business Wales is offering export-ready companies a grant towards attending South by South West (SXSW), a leading trade conference and showcase for music companies.
Funding is available for 50% of the cost of flights and up to £700 per company for accommodation. In addition 50% of the cost of registration for the event is redeemable, up to the value of £300. Receipts must be provided as this funding redeemable upon return from SXSW. This funding is a grant and does not include VAT. Only export-ready music companies will be eligible and the support is limited. Companies are responsible for booking their own travel, accommodation and delegate pass.
Welsh Music Foundation will hosting at a Wales 'party' showcasing a selection of Welsh acts that have been invited to play by the SXSW panel. In addition to the programme of events for the interactive companies and the array of opportunities for music delegates, WMF will also be part of the British trade stand at both the music and interactive conventions.
