War Child album set for November release

A new War Child charity album, consisting of covers of classic tunes by modern-day artists, is set for release on 22 November 2008.

Acts including Paul McCartney, David Bowie, The Clash and The Kinks have selected one of their own tracks and chosen a modern-day artist to perform it on the album.

Collaborations include Hot Chip playing Joy Division's Transmission, The Kooks who will take on The Kinks' Victoria and Duffy singing Paul McCartney's Live And Let Die.
