Universal buys BMG Music Publishing

The European Commission has conditionally approved Universal Music’s proposed €1.63 billion (£1.1 billion) bid to buy BMG Music Publishing, making the world's largest music publisher.

Under this approval Universal will have access to thousands of song rights of BMG Music Publishing including artists such as Coldplay and Robbie Williams.
