UniversalUSB albums

USB compilations and albums could soon be chart eligible following a move by Universal and Emap to release on the format.

Universal are releasing Bob Marley and The Wailers' album Exodus on a USB stick on May 21st 2007 to mark the album's 30th anniversary. The record company has already released singles by Keane and the Fratellis on USB sticks.

The first compilation release on USB will be Kiss Does...Rave, a dance compilation from Emap, on April 30th 2007.

Universal are pushing for the USB format to become chart eligible as a way to combat falling physical sales.
