The Harder They Come reveives West End debutJimmy Cliff musical has West End debut

The Harder They Come received its West End debut at London's Playhouse theatre on Monday 9 June 2008 in front of a star-studded audience including Mick Jagger and Bob Geldof.

The musical is based on the 1972 film starring PRS member Jimmy Cliff which is widely attributed as having brought reggae music to a worldwide audience upon its release.

The show, which features Cliff's songs You Can Get it if you Really Want and Many Rivers to Cross, is based on the life of the 1940s Jamaican musician-turned-outlaw Ivanhoe 'Rhyging' Martin.
