The Charlatans to give new album away for free

In a move which echos that of Radiohead's decision to release their last album, In Rainbows, as a name-your-price download, The Charlatans are to release their tenth studio album for free via the Internet.

The West Midlands outfit are to release a single from the new album via the XFM website on the 25 February before the album's online release a week later on the 3 March 2008.

A physical release of the album, entitled You Cross My Path, will follow on the 19 May 2008.
