A “sonic” poster will be used to promote forthcoming concerts in a collaboration between The Manchester Camerata orchestra and The Bridgewater Hall. The posters advertise a New Year’s Eve Gala and New Year’s Day Viennese Gala that are to take place at The Bridgewater Hall.
The poster, located in Manchester’s Oxford Road train station, plays pieces by composers such as by Mozart and Mahler whenever anyone approaches.
Bob Riley, Manchester Camerata’s chief executive, said: ‘We are delighted that our partners at The Bridgewater Hall – always at the forefront when it comes to ideas - suggested this imaginative approach to promoting our New Year concerts.’
Riley adds that one of the secrets of Manchester Camerata’s success is the way it is always open to new experiences and new challenges that exploit the latest technology.
