Snow Patrol hail Super Furries

Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody has hailed Welsh band Super Furry Animals as "our generation's Beatles"

Lightbody stated that, whilst the music of Nirvana had inspired him to take up guitar, the Super Furry Animals made him think about how best to use it.

The Snow Patrol frontman was speaking during a BBC Radio One interview with Jo Whiley.
