Simple Minds celebrate 30 years in the business

Scottish rockers Simple Minds have announced a UK tour to celebrate 30 years of being in the music business.

The band, who started life in 1977 as Johnny & the Self Abusers, began performing as Simple Minds in January 2008.

They are to perform their 1982 album New Gold Dream in its entirety in six concerts between 27 November and 4 December 2008 at venues in Manchester, Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Cardiff and Glasgow.
