Scorcese to direct Marley biopic

Following on from his recent Rolling Stones rockumentary Shine a Light, legendary US film director Martin Scorcese is now turning his talents to a biopic on the life and times of Reggae icon - and former PRS member - Bob Marley.

The film is set for a 2010 release and is the first movie depicting Marley's life which has been licensed to use his music in its soundtrack.

Another film on Marley's life, directed by Rudy Langlais, is currently in production and is using memoirs written by his wife Rita as source material.
