Rock lessons inspire GCSE pupilsRock lessons inspire GCSE pupils

A study conducted by London University's Institute of Education has found that a new approach to music lessons is making music more popular amongst school pupils.

Pupils are being encouraged to jam like rock musicians during their music classes in an initiative called Musical Futures.

Teachers have reported better behaviour amongst pupils in classes where the initiative has been implemented and have also noted an increase by about 40% of the number of pupils choosing to study music to GCSE level.
