Richey Edwards declared dead after 13 years

The family of Richey Edwards, former guitarist and co-lyricist of the Manic Street Preachers, have officially declared him dead.

Edwards, known as Richey James while in the band, was last seen in 1995.

The Manics recently announced that their next album will feature lyrics written by Edwards. In a handwritten note to fans they wrote: "It's a record that celebrates the genius of his words, full of love, anger, intelligence and respect. We have to make this great."
