Paul McCartney plays landmark Israel gig

Paul McCartney played his first ever concert in Israel yesterday in front of a 40,000 strong crowd.

Despite protesters asking him to boycott the event, the former Beatle performed the gig, dubbed Friendship First, saying that he is seeking peace between Isreal and Palestine.

The set list included a numer of Beatles classics as well as some of McCartney's solo works.
