PRS for Music membership representatives were on hand when the SoundSurf09 tour rolled into London last week. Along with industry reps from many organisations they helped answer questions from budding writers and performers. The tour hit 4 major locations in one week including, London, Cardiff, Folkestone and Manchester.
Supporting the tour are Pure Solo (an online music resource) and Gibson Guitars who have teamed up to launch a writing competition with some great prizes. Entrants need to re-write the lyrics of Natasha Bedingfield’s track These Words using the Pure Solo system, which can record their performance should they wish and upload their efforts! It’s dead easy and good fun!
Prizes include a Gibson Les Paul Guitar and tickets to the BME at the 02 in London. The competition is open now and runs until 13 November 2009.
