Nominations for the PRS sponsored Ivor Novello Awards Announced

Nominees for the prestigious 52nd Ivor Novello Awards, sponsored by PRS, were announced this morning at the Volstead in London.

The awards, which celebrate the very best of British songwriting and composing talent, were announced by Ellis Rich, Chairman of PRS and David Ferguson, Chairman of the British Academy for Songwriter and Composers (BACS).

PRS is delighted to reveal that the following members were among those to receive a nomination: Elton John, Hot Chip, Amy Winehouse, Scott Matthews, Nerina Pallot, David Arnold, Corinne Bailey Rae, Robbie Williams (full list of nominations below).

Today’s nomination announcement featured a breathtaking acoustic performance by former Ivor Novello winner David Gray.

The Ivor Novello Awards, presented by BACS, will be held on 24 May 2007 at Grovensor House in London.

The high profile event has been sponsored by PRS since 1974 and is one of the longest-running continuous music sponsorships in the world.
