New Order breaks up

New Order has split after 27 years, according the band's bass player Peter Hook.

Peter Hook revealed the split during an interview last weekend with Manchester radio announcer Clint Boon and then confirmed the news in a blog published yesterday on his MySpace page.

Formed in early 1980’s the band released their first album Movement in 1981 and went onto release many singles, inlcuding Blue Monday.
