Arctic Monkeys scoop top NME Awards

Arctic Monkeys were awarded the gongs for best track, best video and best British band at the NME awards on Thursday 28 February 2008.

Awards at the O2 arena event in Greenwich, London also went to Muse for best live band, Kate Nash for best solo artist, Klaxons for best album, and Radiohead won the best band blog.

The godlike genius award - the NME's equivalent of a lifetime achievement prize - was presented to the Manic Street Preachers.
